Newark Kenpo Karate has an International Demonstration Team made up of students ages 8-23.  Their special class meets on Tuesdays at 7pm and features Tournament Forms, Sparring, Weapons, Self Defense Routines, Gymnastics and Specialized Kicks.  The students are also assisted in creating their own personal empty hand forms, weapons forms and self-defense routines.  Many of these routines are then choreographed to music to create exciting action-packed demonstrations that are fun to perform as well as to watch.  

Currently the Demo Team is closed to new members as we prepare the team for its upcoming performance in Las Vegas, Nevada for the International Karate Championships in Oct. 2009.  Each year in addition to a large international event demonstration, the team performs at multiple local and regional events including fairs and festivals, parades, Boy and Girl Scout events, Blue Rocks Baseball Games and many martial arts tournaments.

Any students (Kids must be Purple Belts and Teens must be Orange Belts) wishing to become a member of the team in the future should see Ms. Kathy for information on any upcoming tryouts.
